Workmanship Warranty
BY ACCEPTING THE INSTALLATION SERVICES, THE CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS WARRANTY.
- WARRANTY COVERAGE.
WPP hereby provides a Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty to the original purchaser (“Customer”) for the installation services of windows, siding, roofing, doors and any other exterior materials procured and installed by WPP (“Products“). This warranty guarantees that the installation of the Products performed by the Company will be free from defects in workmanship under normal use and conditions for the lifetime of the Products, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions set forth in this Warranty.
The Company’s obligation under this Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at its sole discretion, any part of the installation that is proven to be defective in workmanship. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that the Products are installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards, ensuring proper sealing and insulation around the installed Products, and ensuring that the installation does not impair the functionality or aesthetic appearance of the Products.
This warranty covers defects in workmanship that may affect the structural integrity, functionality, or aesthetic appearance of the installed Products. Examples of covered defects in workmanship include, but are not limited to:
- Improper fitting of Products leading to air or water leakage.
- Incorrect application of sealing or caulking materials resulting in moisture ingress.
- Misalignment or uneven installation of Products affecting their operation or appearance.
- Failure to adhere to manufacturer’s installation guidelines resulting in damage to the Products.
The Warranty coverage commences on the date of completion of the installation services and extends for the lifetime of the Products, as long as the Customer owns the property where the Products were installed. This warranty is intended to provide the Customer with peace of mind that the installation services rendered by the Company meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
To activate this warranty, the Customer must register their installation service with the Company within thirty (30) days of the installation completion date, as detailed in the Warranty Registration section herein.
This Warranty is in addition to any product-specific warranties provided by the manufacturers of the Products installed. It is the responsibility of the Customer to familiarize themselves with and adhere to the terms and conditions of such manufacturer warranties.
- WARRANTY PERIOD.
The Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty provided by WPP is designed to give the Customer lasting confidence in the quality of our installation services for the Products. This Warranty remains effective for the entire lifespan of the Products, ensuring that the Customer enjoys the benefits of professional installation for as long as the Products are in use.
The Warranty period begins on the date when the installation services are fully completed, as documented by the Company. This date marks the commencement of the warranty coverage and will be clearly stated on the Customer’s invoice or INSTALLATION COMPLETION CERTIFICATE provided by the Company. It is crucial for the Customer to retain this document as proof of the start date of the warranty period.
The term “lifetime” in the context of this warranty refers to the period during which the installed Products remain in their original installation location and under the ownership of the Customer who originally purchased the installation services. This ensures that the warranty is specific to the Products’ performance and durability as installed by the Company and under normal use conditions.
Should the ownership of the property where the Products are installed change, this warranty is not transferable to subsequent property owners. The lifetime warranty is intended to provide the original Customer with assurance of the Company’s commitment to quality workmanship and is bound to the longevity of the Products as long as they remain in the hands of the original Customer.
In the event that a defect in workmanship arises during the warranty period, the Customer is encouraged to contact the Company promptly to arrange for an inspection and necessary corrective actions in accordance with the Claim Process outlined in this Agreement.
This warranty underscores the Company’s dedication to delivering installation services that meet or exceed industry standards, providing the Customer with peace of mind and satisfaction in the investment made in their property.
- WORKMANSHIP VS MANUFACTURING WARRANTIES.
At WPP, we understand the importance of ensuring that your investment in windows, siding, and doors is protected against potential defects and installation issues. To provide comprehensive coverage, our warranty framework is divided into two main categories: Manufacturer Warranties and Contractor Warranties. This distinction ensures that all aspects of your purchase, from the product quality to the installation process, are safeguarded.
Manufacturer Warranties:
Manufacturer Warranties are provided by the creators of the windows, siding, and doors that WPP installs. MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES EXCLUSIVELY SAFEGUARD THE INTEGRITY OF THE PRODUCT, ENCOMPASSING ELEMENTS LIKE GLASS, SIDING, SHINGLES, AND SASHES, TO GUARANTEE THEY ARE DEVOID OF ANY MATERIAL FLAWS. These warranties specifically cover defects in the materials themselves, guaranteeing that the products you receive meet the high standards of quality and durability expected. WPP works closely with manufacturers to ensure that our installation practices meet or exceed these requirements, ensuring that your Manufacturer’ Warranty remains valid. Should you have any questions about the specifics of your Manufacturer Warranty, our team is well-equipped to provide the necessary guidance, assist with warranty registration, and facilitate any needed communication with the manufacturer in the event of a product malfunction.
WPP Warranty:
In addition to the Manufacturer Warranty, WPP offers a Workmanship Warranty that covers the workmanship of our installation services. This warranty is a testament to our confidence in the skills of our installation teams and our commitment to delivering excellence. Our Warranty ensures that any issues arising from the installation process itself, including labor and the application of materials, are addressed by WPP at no additional cost to you. Typically extending for a significant period beyond the installation date, our Contractor Warranty provides an added layer of protection, ensuring that the integrity of your installation is maintained.
Together, the Manufacturer and Contractor Warranties provide a robust safety net, ensuring that both the products and the installation services you receive from WPP are of the highest quality.
- EXCLUSIONS:
The Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty provided by WPP (“Company”) is comprehensive; however, it does not cover every scenario. The following exclusions are set forth to clarify the circumstances under which the warranty does not apply. Each exclusion is accompanied by a rationale to explain its reasonableness.
This Warranty does not cover:
- Damage or defects resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance by the Customer. The warranty covers defects in workmanship under normal use. It does not cover issues arising from the Customer’s failure to properly use, maintain, or care for the Products. Reasonable care is a standard expectation for the longevity of any product.
- Damage or defects caused by alterations, modifications, or repairs by anyone other than WPP or its authorized representatives. Modifications or repairs not performed by the Company or its authorized agents may not meet the original installation standards and could compromise the integrity of the installation. This exclusion ensures that the warranty covers only the workmanship of the Company.
- Damage resulting from accidents, acts of God, or external forces. This includes natural disasters (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes), vandalism, and other unforeseen events beyond the control of the Company. It is standard practice for warranties to exclude such unpredictable and uncontrollable factors.
- Normal wear and tear or deterioration. Over time, any product can show signs of aging and wear. This exclusion is reasonable because the warranty is designed to cover defects in workmanship, not the natural aging process of the materials.
- Damage due to improper operation or maintenance by the Customer. Similar to the first exclusion, this ensures the warranty covers installation workmanship, not issues arising from the Customer’s failure to follow operational, or maintenance guidelines provided by the product manufacturers.
- Damage caused by failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the Products. Manufacturer instructions are provided to ensure the Products are used and maintained correctly. Ignoring these guidelines can lead to damage that is not the result of defective installation workmanship.
- Any damage to the Products themselves, which are covered under separate product-specific warranties provided by the manufacturer. This warranty specifically covers installation workmanship. Product defects or failures are typically addressed under separate warranties provided by the product manufacturers, ensuring that each party is responsible for their scope of work.
By setting these exclusions, the Company aims to clearly define the scope of the warranty, focusing on installation workmanship while encouraging the Customer to take proper care of the Products. These exclusions are standard in the industry and are designed to promote fairness and responsibility on both sides of the agreement.
- WARRANTY REGISTRATION:
Customers are encouraged to register their installation warranty online by visiting WPP’s Warranty Registration Page. The online form is designed to be user-friendly and requires only essential information such as the Customer’s name, address, contact information, installation date, and product type. This method provides immediate confirmation of registration and is accessible 24/7 for the Customer’s convenience.
Customers are required to complete the warranty registration within thirty (30) days following the completion of the installation services. This timeframe is consistent with industry standards and allows the Company to efficiently organize and validate warranty registrations. Prompt registration ensures that the Customer’s warranty protection begins without delay.
By adhering to these guidelines, WPP aims to provide a warranty registration process that is fair, easy to navigate, and aligned with best practices in the industry. This approach underscores the Company’s commitment to exceptional Customer service and support throughout the warranty period and beyond.

- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
The remedies described in this Agreement are the Customer’s sole and exclusive remedies. In no event shall WPP be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages.
WPP is committed to providing high-quality installation services for windows, siding, and doors (“Products”). While we stand behind our workmanship and the warranties we offer, it is important for our Customers to understand that certain limitations apply to our liability under this warranty agreement.
- Scope of Warranty: The Company’s liability under this warranty is limited exclusively to repair or replacement of parts found to be defective due to improper workmanship, at the Company’s discretion. This warranty does not extend to any other damages or losses.
- Exclusion of Consequential Damages: Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of, or in connection with, the installation of the Products. - Cap on Liability: The total liability of the Company for any and all claims arising out of, or in connection with, this warranty shall not exceed the original installation cost paid by the Customer for the defective service. This cap on liability ensures that the extent of the Company’s financial responsibility is clearly defined and agreed upon.
- No Liability for Non-Company Services: The Company shall not be liable for any damages or defects resulting from services performed by third parties not hired by WPP, alterations made by the Customer or other third parties, or Products not installed by WPP. This warranty covers only those services directly performed by the Company and does not extend to the actions or products of others.
- Time Limitation for Legal Action: Any legal action arising out of, or in connection with, this warranty must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action has accrued, notwithstanding any statutory period of limitation to the contrary.
8. TRANSFERABILITY – OWNER TO OWNER:
WPP’s warranty on the installation of windows, siding, and doors is designed with both the original purchaser and future homeowners in mind. Recognizing the importance of long-term value and peace of mind, we offer a transferable warranty that extends the coverage to a subsequent homeowner, ensuring that the investment in quality and workmanship continues to protect the property beyond the original ownership. This transferability is contingent upon a fully completed transaction of property ownership, providing a seamless continuation of warranty benefits from one owner to the next.
To facilitate this transfer, THE NEW HOMEOWNER IS REQUIRED TO CONTACT WPP WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE PROPERTY’S TRANSFER DATE TO UPDATE THE WARRANTY REGISTRATION. This step is crucial for activating the warranty under the new ownership and ensures that WPP can continue to offer its support and services without interruption. By emphasizing the need for a completed transaction between owners, WPP underscores its commitment to maintaining the integrity and value of its warranty, offering reassurance to both sellers and buyers that the quality of WPP’s installations is guaranteed for the lifetime of the products.
